Facebook Says-83 Million Facebook Accounts Are Fake

We know that Facebook has close to one billion active users at this point. But its needless to Say, Because in a regulatory release , largest Social Network FACEBOOK had admitted that 83 Millions of Facebook Accounts are FAKE on Facebook, That amounts to 83.09 million, roughly the population of Germany. However, Facebook is promising to clamp down on fake and duplicate accounts.

83 Millions Facebook Accounts are fake

Even more impressive, more than half of those log in every day. But it’s not all rainbows and sunshine, 8.7 percent of the monthly active users belong to fake accounts, Facebook estimates in a SEC filing.
Facebook chief security officer Joe Sullivan told CNN that the entire Facebook platform is based on people using their real identities and that the company is committed to finding and disabling false accounts. We hope that Facebook Will be committed in disabling FAKE Facebook Accounts.
4.8 percent of Facebook’s total users are Having Duplicate Accouts. Many are used by Nvidia and AMD fanboys to troll comment sections on tech sites. Some 2.4 percent are non-human and they include misclassified company profiles, groups or profiles set up for pets.
Facebook labels fake accounts as either duplicates, i.e. one user having more than one profile on the site, misclassified accounts and “undesirables,” i.e. spam accounts. Some one has Edited their logo and Mae FAKEBOOK instead of Facebook, It looks Funny!
83 Million Facebook Accounts Are Fake

Why So many FAKE Facebook Accounts?

8.7 percent of active users on Facebook amount to 83.09 million accounts, which is no small figure. 83 million users in total would be an enviable amount for any number of sites.
While having more than one “personal” account is against Facebook’s terms of service and you risk having one or both suspended, Facebook is turning the other way in most of these cases, unless there is a specific reason to intervene, like harassment and so on.
4.8 percent of the total number of accounts are duplicate accounts. Everyone knows someone that has more than one account so this is hardly surprising.
2.4 percent of active users, on the other hand, have legitimate accounts, i.e. they’re not duplicates, but they’re not for themselves either. This could be a small businesses creating a profile rather than a page or someone creating an account for their pets.

 Undesirable Facebook Accounts

Facebook has Labeled 1.5 percent of Its Account as Undesirable “Facebook Accounts”  These Accounts are use for SPAM, Phishing , Spreading malware virally, and some spam App Usage which is prohibited in Facebook terms.
Lest See how Facebook removes fake facebook Acounts from its System. We hope that facebook will take a huge step Against false Accounts by making its security more Tighten and Powerful.
